She became a certified nurse's aide and proudly worked at Community Living Association for 31 years before retiring in 2009. She was also a member of American Legion Post 147. Louise is survived by her daughter, Debera Varney; two granddaughters, Amanda Varney and Michelle Varney Slike; great-grandson, Michael Fitzpatrick; sister, Peggy Lynds Drost; brothers, Albert Friel and Chester Friel; sister-in-law, Betty Friel; former husband, Carl Kirner; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Della Glue and Thadeus Friel; sisters, Elizabeth Troy, Doris Nickerson and Ada Grant; brothers, Chester Stearns, Maurice Friel, George Friel and Christopher Friel; and nephew, Butch Friel. |
