Pamela Jean Griffith 65, Houlton, passed away Dec. 31, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 15, 1950 in Houlton, the daughter of Richard Haney, Sr. and Geraldine (Tomah) Haney. Pamela grew up in Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1968. Shortly there after she moved to Connecticut, where she worked at New England Aircraft and Carling Switch. She then moved to Ohio where she owned and operated a daycare. In 2001, she moved back to Maine and worked at HBMI as an Elder Coordinator and as a driver for medical transportation. Pamela and her husband Charles loved blues music and going to blues festivals. She enjoyed NASCAR, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Pamela also enjoyed camping and cutting the rug with Charles. Pamela was a strong willed lady who always loved her family. She was selfless to friends and strangers alike. Pamela is survived by her husband of 35 years Charles Griffith; her daughter Terri Lynn Haney and a son; four stepdaughters December Lynn Griffith Zawinell, Tracey Walker, Charlene Griffith and Cherie Griffith-Dunn; twenty five grandchildren, as well as two special granddaughters Sakima Lee and Sakoya Blackwell, one great grandson, one great granddaughter; ten siblings Anna Forsythe, Timothy Haney, Sally Lincoln, Mary Gibbs, Tracy Richardson Swinson, Michelle Greenleaf, Michael Bither, Kervin Haney, Ammie Irish, Richard Haney, Jr., several nieces and nephews, special nieces Sarah Forsythe and Janna Forsythe. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Joseph Richard Haney, and a grandson. |
