WHITEFIELD and PATTEN Kristin Dudley Olsen, 54, died Aug. 23, 2006, unexpectedly at his home in Whitefield. He was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Lewiston, the son of Marguerite Olsen Sinclair and the late Dudley A. Olsen. He grew up in Patten where he attended schools and graduated from Katahdin High School in 1970. He made his living as a carpenter, flew planes and spent one year flying for the Maine Forestry Service as well as for Scotty's Flying Service. His hobbies include flying, fishing, hunting and computers. He was employed by Penobscot General Contractors of Rockport for four years. In addition to his mother of Mount Chase, he is survived by his wife of two and a half months, Carol (Earl) Olsen of Whitefield; a daughter, Shannon Olsen of Biddeford; a son, Andrew Olsen of Mount Chase; three stepchildren, Jeri, Dean and Tracy; eight stepgrandchildren; one sister, Janine and her husband, Gerald Bertone, of Mount Chase; and a special friend, Rick Boyington of Jackman. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Patten Cemetery. |
