Jean lived in Citrus Springs, Florida with her husband David S. Humphries, Sr. and together they raised a daughter, Pamela-Jean Michelle and a son, David Scott Humphries, Jr. She enjoyed her granddaughter, Malia. Jean had a passion for teaching and made it her career, spending many hours beyond her work day tutoring academically challenged students as well as homebound students. When she moved to Florida, she soon found a teaching position at Crystal River High School, and later at WTI. Jean loved to read, crochet and walk. Jean and her husband loved to travel, do cruises, and spend their summers in Maine. In high school, Jean served as Class Secretary all four years. She was on the staff of the Bunkie Highlights and Rambler and participated in Future Teachers of America, Tri-Hi-Y, and the senior play. She was also a member of the National Honor Society. |
