About | Rene Pachinbhayag, 71, of Herndon, Virginia died peacefully in her home on September 3, 2024. She is survived by her beloved dog Pippa and a lifetime of friends. Rene was born in Queens, NY. Her parents, mother Rampan Nitchakarn and father Pakon Pachinbhayag, preceded her in death. She spent her early childhood in Bangkok, Thailand before the family settled in Bladensburg, Maryland. She graduated from Bladensburg High School, class of 1970. During her school years she participated in traditional Thai ceremonies, the Pom Pom team, was a fashion model and pianist. She was immensely proud of her parents. Her father started the Thai broadcast channel for Voice of America and worked at the Library of Congress. Her mother owned a Thai restaurant and was a nurse at Prince Georges General Hospital. Rene graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences (Political Science), class of 1976. During her time there she joined the Beta Sigma chapter of Delta Gamma Sorority of which she served as Vice President and Social Chair. She continued to stay involved with reunions and communications for the rest of her life and was proud of her connection to her sorority sisters. After graduating college, she embarked on a career in the early years of information and communications technology. Holding various sales and marketing positions at CPT, Eastman Kodak, Wang Laboratories, Konica, Fujitsu, Bell Atlantic, Verizon, Cingular, and AT&T. She dedicated her time to professional development and creating lifelong friendships with colleagues and customers before retiring in 2021. Rene enjoyed attending her exercise classes at The Fitness Equation where she developed new friendships celebrating their family achievements and birthday parties. She also spent time fostering and adopting West Highland Terriers and attending meetups. Her greatest loves were her time with friends and neighbors, her dogs, health, cars, the ocean, Hallmark movies, and live music. Everyone who touched her life was considered a friend.
