About | Christopher (Chris) Michael Busch, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, died in Pasadena on 24 June 2024 from drowning. He was 49. Chris was born in Baltimore, Maryland on 9 December 1974 to Mark A. Busch and the late Pamela A. Busch (nee Adams). He was the oldest son and is survived by his father and sister Suzanne M. Herr (Bobby) and brother Steven A. Busch. In his early years, Chris lived on Towson Street in Locust Point, Maryland. His childhood was filled with lots of laughter and love and family time with grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides of his family. Earliest memories were of Big Wheel races in his grandmother’s backyard and family reunions on both the Adams and Busch families. Chris always had a shy personality, a wry smile, and sparkling and intense blue eyes that helped him connect to family and friends. As a child and teen, Chris enjoyed traveling on day trips with his parents, siblings and grandparents and longer vacations to Disney World. Chris also enjoyed summer camping trips to Cunningham Falls with his father, siblings, uncle and cousins for many years. In his early teens, Chris and his family moved to Pasadena, Maryland where he attended Chesapeake schools. He made many friends in the area and enjoyed fishing, biking, and skateboarding. He developed a talent for playing bass guitar and played in bands in his teens and early 20s and revisited the band experience briefly in his 40’s. Chris started a career as a journeyman ironworker. When work was slow, he started surveying with his father and Uncle Glen Adams in Florida, managing to avoid alligators in the swamps and creating lasting memories of their adventures. Chris was a loyal and dedicated employee in the food service industry and was appreciated and loved by his employers. He also befriended others in the community and his neighborhood and was always willing to lend a hand or help with odd jobs. At the time of his death, Chris was a homeowner in Brooklyn Park, MD. Prior to that home purchase, he bought and renovated his maternal grandmother’s home in Dundalk. He lived there for many years before selling and purchasing the Brooklyn Park home. He spent several years renovating his homes and was interested in doing the work his way, which was ‘the right way’ and on his own timeline. Chris was a compassionate, caring person which was endearing to family and friends. He had a good heart and a dry sense of humor. He was always more comfortable in intimate groups than big crowds. His tall frame and shy eyes could be intimidating to those that didn’t know the gentle giant beneath his formidable presence. Chris was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and had recently reignited his faith journey. He is survived by his father, siblings, and nephews Robby and Billy Herr. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Pamela Ann Busch. In addition, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Adams and Busch families and many friends. Chris is also survived by a special friend Ja’Nae Hill who was a positive influence in his life and was with him up until the time of his death. While Ja’Nae gives all the glory to God, she was His instrument in strengthening Chris’s faith in the Lord. |
