| About | Mark Edward Bortner, Jr., 36, of Dickson, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 17th, 2024. He was born on Thursday, February 11th, 1988 in Pasadena, Maryland to Judy and Mark E. Bortner, Sr. He graduated from Chesapeake High School in 2006. During his high school years he enjoyed playing soccer and lacrosse on local recreational leagues. Mark worked in the restaurant industry in various positions. He was a member of Galilee Lutheran Church and he earned his Eagle Scout as a member of Boy Scout Troop #412. Mark loved animals, especially horses, and had a habit of adopting animals. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, and white water rafting. He is survived by his parents Judy and Mark Bortner, Sr.; his sister, Leann Bortner, half sister Lisa Whited, half brother John A. Shuman, nephew Daniel Whited, nephew Nicholas Whited, and niece Mila Bortner. |
| Events | Friends may visit at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland on Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Galilee Luther Church 4652 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to BARCS or your favorite animal charity in his memory. |
