April Meredith Rose, of Elkridge Maryland aged 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024. April was born on April 2, 1951 to James B. Chalmers and Virginia Severson Hanna Chalmers. She grew up in Ellicott City surrounded by a loving, fun family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She attended Howard High School and graduated in 1970. She married David L. Rose on August 2, 1971 and had two children, Elizabeth and David Jr. Although they eventually divorced, they remained on friendly terms. April always loved children and spent many years working in day care facilities or as a private nanny. She found great friendship and fellowship at her church, Catonsville Assembly of God. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, visiting, playing cards, working out at the gym, and doing word searches. April was an exceptionally kind, gentle, and caring person. She will be deeply missed. |

A celebration of life service will be held at Catonsville Assembly of God, 1928 Frederick Road, Catonsville at 11am Friday, August 30 with lunch to follow at Matthew’s 1600, 1600 Frederick Road, Catonsville. Contributions may be sent in lieu of flowers to the Catonsville Assembly of God at the above address, American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org), or Alzheimer’s Association |
