| About | Mr. Carlton Hilliard Sr. Tribute It is with heartfelt sorrow and sadness we announce the official passing of Mr. Carlton Edward Hilliard 66 of North West, DC. He transitioned from time to eternal rest on September 8, 2025. Carlton E. Hilliard, Sr., 66, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Rockville, Maryland. He was born on May 9, 1959, to the late Shirley Hilliard, who preceded him in death. Carlton was a proud graduate of Oxon Hill High School, Class of 1977. During his school years, he found great joy in playing basketball, a sport he loved deeply. He also had a lifelong passion for football and cherished spending time with his family and friends, who brought him his greatest happiness. After graduating from high school, Carlton proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country. Following his service, he built a career in the hospitality industry, where he worked in various roles and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He is survived by his daughter, Keya Graham of Evergreen, NC; two sons, Carlton Hilliard, Jr. of Lumberton, NC, and James “Anthony” Rivers of Washington, D.C.; three granddaughters, Lexus Graham (JD), Arionna Graham, and Sevyn Rivers; and one great-grandson, Roman Davidson. He also leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Sharon Walker of Odenton, Maryland, Cynthia “Necie” Hilliard of Suitland, Maryland, and Dana Renfrow Tabor (Dewain) of Laurel, Maryland, as well as one brother, John Renfrow of Silver Spring, Maryland, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. |
