| About | Affectionately called "Brownie", was born on March 23, 1958, in Chestertown, Md. She was the daughter of the late Geneva Simmons Price and James R. Brown. Lynne peacefully earned her wings on Monday, February 2nd, 2015, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. Lynne grew up in Pondtown, Md. as one of "Genie's Girls". She attended Queen Anne's County public schools, graduating in the class of 1976. She continued her education at Del Tech studying Human Services. Lynne worked at Campbell Soup Co., Super Fresh and Delaware Department of Corrections where she remained until her health declined. She was very proud of her work with the Department of Corrections and they became like family, loving and supporting her through the end. Lynne loved the Lord. Her steadfast faith was so inspiring to many. Lynne did not mind getting excited or working for the Lord. She was a faithful member of Centennial United Methodist Church serving in various capacities. Lynne enjoyed reading, cooking, Facebook, bowling, softball and Dover Downs. She also loved traveling and spending time with family and friends and a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan. She was a great hostess and "the family event planner". She enjoyed organizing family events. Lynne was a devoted mother to her children, Walter and LaKeish, always guiding them with a FIRM but loving manner. Laid to rest at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE |
