| About | Wayne Kevin Brookman, 37, of Harwood, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 1, 1995, at his home. Born on May 28, 1958 in Maryland, Wayne graduated from Southern High School in 1976. He was employed for approximately 19 years with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. He was known for his good sense of humor and enjoyed landscaping and NASCAR racing. Wayne is survived by his wife, Laurie Brookman; two daughters, Christine and Terry Brookman, all of the home; his parents, Florence and James Brookman Jr. of Edgewater; one sister, Sandra Harris of Olney; and one brother, Larry Brookman of Eldersburg. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond James Brookman, who died in 1951. Funeral services were held at Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, with burial at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. Memorial contributions were suggested to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
