| About | Norman Michael Greenwell Sr., 53, died suddenly December 15 at his home. Michael was born on February 27, 1959 in Annapolis to Norman and Martha Greenwell. He attended Southern High School, graduating Class of 1977. After high school, he was an auto body painting specialist for Bud Davis Corvette Shop in Davidsonville. He had a Pinto that he custom painted featured at the Washington, DC World of Wheels Auto Show. In 1990, he entered the refrigeration business. He made a career as a refrigeration mechanic, becoming Vice President of M&E Refrigeration Service. Michael was a member of the Severna Park Elks Club #2482, NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and a past member of Three Rivers Sportsmen Club. He enjoyed hunting, especially trap shooting, once breaking 100 straight targets from the 23 yard line. Michael loved fishing, and enjoyed taking his son along. He enjoyed cooking, cutting firewood, and for years bred Siberian huskies. He was also an avid Rolling Stones and Elton John fan, attending many of their concerts over the years. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his son, Norman Michael Greenwell Jr. of Freeland; a brother, Joel Greenwell of Harwood; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Friends are invited to Michael's Life Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 21, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, at Our Lady of Sorrows, 101 Owensville Rd., West River. Interment church cemetery. |
