Khanna, 65, of Salisbury, MD passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Tidal Health - Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born October 23, 1958, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Kenneth W. Ferguson and Marjorie (Frances) Ferguson. Kathryn devoted over 40 years as a registered nurse at Calvert Health Medical Center, multiple travel assignments, and lastly for the past 25 years at Tidal Health - Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where she gave her heart and soul to her career and patients. She was not only a great nurse but a great coworker, mentor, and friend to those entering the profession. Kathryn loved her children and family with her whole heart. She always enjoyed watching her children, nieces, and nephews play the sports they loved or attending events to support them. She also loved the beach and you would not see her without a good book in her hand. Kathryn loved watching the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals, and the Baltimore Orioles. Kathryn also loved to go shopping and to cook. She was a dedicated mother, sister, aunt, and friend, and would do anything for others at any moment. Kathryn is survived by her two children, Kenneth Khanna and Alexis "Lexi" Khanna of Salisbury, MD; as well as her sisters, Paula McNees (Ron) of Glen Burnie, MD, Christine Rousseau (Chuck) of Salisbury, MD, Michele Hurt (Bradley) of Crownsville, MD, and Kimberly Patey (Jon) of Pittsville, MD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Jacob and Cade Rousseau; Zackery, Joel, and Luke Patey; Sydney Williams (Mike); Rebecca Endres; Joe McNees; Matt McNees; and Andrew Crosby. She had multiple close friends who were family to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Ferguson. Our family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of Tidal Health - Peninsula Regional Medical Center for all the great care they provided. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804, with visitation one hour prior.
