| About | Steven B. Whetzel – Obituary Steven B. Whetzel, 44, a longtime resident of Mayo, died May 25 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from complications associated with diabetes after a six-year illness. Mr. Whetzel was born Feb. 25, 1958, in Annapolis. He was a carpenter most of his life and a waterman in his spare time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and being on the water. Surviving are two children, Josh and Melissa Whetzel of Lothian; his parents, Charlie and Louise Whetzel of Mayo; and two brothers, Jeff Whetzel of St. Mary's County and Kevin Whetzel of Davidsonville. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Acute Care Unit, 2001 Medical Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401. |
