About | Bonnie Sue Phillips, 50, of 12831 Bunker Hill Road, Union Bridge, died Thursday, Nov. 22, at her home. She was the wife of Calvert H. Phillips, her husband of 29 years. Born Oct. 1, 1951, in Frederick, she was a daughter of Hazel Pauline Clemm Bruchey of Keymar, and the late Charles David Bruchey. Mrs. Phillips was a 1969 graduate of Walkersville High School. She attended Haugh's Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Ladiesburg. Mrs. Phillips was employed as a supply analyst for the federal government at Fort Detrick at the time of her death. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are one daughter, Kellie N. Phillips of Union Bridge; two sons, Keith A. Phillips and wife Sherry of Taneytown, and Scott T. Phillips of Union Bridge; one grandson, Justin K. Phillips; one brother, Wayne Eugene Bruchey and wife Marsha of Keymar; one niece; and three nephews. Mrs. Phillips will also be remembered by her daughter Kellie's fiance, Nathan W. May. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard P. Rutkauskas Jr., pastor of Grace-Mount Zion Lutheran Parish, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Cemetery, Libertytown.
