| About | Geraldine "Gerry" Virginia Ramsburg, 85, of Walkersville,MD passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Glade Valley Center in Walkersville. She was the beloved wife of the late James Ramsburg. Born April 6, 1932 in Walkersville, MD she was the daughter of the late Murray Monroe and Viola C. Wachter Craver. Gerry was a 1951 graduate of Walkersville High School where she captained many of the schools sports teams. Soon after graduation she worked for Price Electric of Walkersville and followed most of her life on the family farm. She was of Methodist faith. She is survived by her two sons Dennis J. Ramsburg and wife Laura of Walkersville and Darryl E. Ramsburg and wife Stephanie of Union Bridge; five grandchildren Brittany, Mandi, Sarah, James and Heather Ramsburg; she was also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Yardley and Burke Welker and Madison and Jackson Ramsburg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephew; sister Mary Ellen Macky of Lorraine, OH. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Walkersville Fire Co., 79 W Frederick St, Walkersville, MD 21793. Interment will follow at Glade Cemetery.
