| About | Mrs. Gloria Linetta Staley, 91, of Frederick, formerly of Walkersville died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Heartfields Assisted Living of Frederick. She was the wife of the late Hansel Roscoe Staley, who died in 2012. Born April 23, 1924 in Ladiesburg, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Emanuel and Thelma (Norris) Frock. Gloria graduated from Walkersville High School, Class of 1942, and from York School of Cosmetology in 1948. She owned and operated Gloria's Beauty Shop in Walkersville for more than 56 years. Additionally, she was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the beach with her sisters and "all the girls." Surviving are a daughter, Tiffany Staley and husband, Keith; Michael Staley and wife, Lorraine; three grandchildren, Tyler, Kimberly and Joshua Staley, all of Walkersville; and one great-grandson, Landon Wisner of Knoxville; two sisters, Jill Eyler and Patsy Wetzel, both of Walkersville; and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her beloved and ferocious feline, Lucy. She was predeceased by two younger sisters, Doris Frock and Betty Grinder. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Private inurnment will be in Glade Cemetery.
