| About | Jan Alise Barber Grimes passed away quietly on January 29, 2024. Born on June 5, 1946 in Frederick MD , Jan was the daughter of the late John and Margery Barber, Frederick. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Grimes and brother, John Barber Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Groomes and her husband, Douglas Groomes, Keedysville MD; son, R. Scott Grimes, Frederick MD; daughter, Erin Riley and her husband, Hunter Riley, Frederick MD and daughter, Megan Grimes, Frederick MD. Also her loving sister, Laurie Petersen and husband, Les Petersen of Thurmont MD. Jan LOVED her Baltimore Ravens football and frequently attended training camps. She always looked forward to the yearly Girls Trips to Ocean City MD, and enjoying anything with her children.
