| About | Jerry Wayne Shelton, 63, of Pittsville, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. Born Oct. 27, 1947, he was the son of Clifford Shelton of Walkersville and the late Mildred Shelton, whom predeceased Jerry in 2006. A graduate of Walkersville High School, Class of 1963 and Hagerstown Business College, Jerry worked 30 years as a hatchery manager with Eastern Shore companies. He was a member of the Delmarva Stroke Club and the Maryland Bass Federation Eastern Region. He loved to camp, fish, hunt and line dance, and was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Robin Rinker Shelton; his father, Clifford; children, Terry Shelton and Larry Shelton, both of Delmar, Del., Regina Johnson of Wilson, N.C.; stepchildren, Wade White of Salisbury, Nicole Selby of Summers Cove; special step-granddaughter, Felicia Davis; step-great-grandson, Brodi Davis; and three additional grandchildren. Survivors also include siblings, Barbara Green and husband Bob of Union Bridge, William Shelton and wife Elaine of Baltimore, Carol Wilcom and husband Jerome of Monrovia, Joseph Shelton and wife Terrena of Sanford, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Tommye Easty and Lynn Trevena of Duluth, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Wicomico Presbyterian Church, Salisbury. Pastor Robert Webster will officiate.
