About Kerri Anne Wells

August 24, 1996 – December 27, 2023

Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Kerri Anne Wells, 27, on December 27, 2023. Born to Kelley and (Lee) John Wells on August 24, 1996, Kerri grew up in Frederick Maryland and was a 2014 graduate of Walkersville High School. She loved her family and friends deeply… her favorite moments were spent dancing, singing, and laughing together with them.

Gone too soon, she is survived by her entire family (with the exception of her grandfather, John Poche’ III “Papa” and her beloved dog, Bentley) ... her parents, Kelley and John Wells, cherished siblings Megan, Janey, and Ryan Wells, and dog Gus. She is also survived by her grandmother, Diane Dupuy “Mere” and grandparents, Mary Ann and Lee Wells “Grammy and Grandpa”, her loving aunties and uncles, cousins, and her treasured Angelica’s B’s.

Kerri was brilliant and one of a kind. She was a vibrant soul with a passion for music, art, writing, nature, and animals in which she indulged with unmatched appreciation. She was the brightest light in every room… the life of the party with an infectious smile and an unequivocal sense of humor. Kerri was raw and real and left a lasting impression on anyone she met, making every stranger a friend. She had the biggest heart and lived with intention. She was a warrior, so strong, and so loving. Kerri was a true gift to all. Our deepest loss equals peace and freedom for her. She’s home now. She lived with schizoaffective disorder and fought a battle most could never imagine or understand.

Nothing makes sense, yet it all makes sense. Kerri’s assignment was finished too soon, yet she left a light in each of us to shine oh so brightly. We will continue to live intentionally and fiercely in honor of her. We know she is holding court in heaven – joyful, hilarious, and with a love that drenches the soul. Some may say rest easy… we say live like Kerri.

Fly High Ker until we meet again.

A private Celebration of Kerri’s Life will be held later at her family’s home.

Food, clothing, or monetary donations can be made to Frederick Rescue Mission in Kerri’s name, a place very dear to our family where Kerri often visited.
