| About | Kortney Layne Angleberger, age 28, of Keymar, died unexpectedly June 4, 2023. Born July 6, 1994 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Jody Layne Angleberger and Melissa Dewees Angleberger. She was a graduate of Walkersville High School class of 2012 and worked as a dietary site assistant for Frederick County Public Schools. She loved pickles, kayaking, and playing softball and had a thing for rescuing all sorts of animals. Kortney's greatest joy was being a mom. Surviving in addition to her parents are her son Dominic Cleaver of Keymar and his father Blayn, sister Kahla Angleberger of Martinsburg, WV, brother Paul Angleberger of Keymar, paternal grandfather James Angleberger, maternal grandparents Janice Foreman and Calvin Dewees, and her boyfriend Jerry Lee Thompson. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles cousins and friends. She was predeceased by paternal grandmother Honey Lee Angleberger. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 12th from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. at New Midway Fire Hall, 12019 Woodsboro Pike, New Midway, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday June 13, at New Midway Fire Hall. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
