| About | Mr. Mark Richard Hopkins, 39, of 6531 Mountaindale Road, Thurmont, died Saturday, Aug. 16 at his residence. He was the husband of Mary F. Wachter Hopkins. Born Feb. 23, 1947, he was a son of Ruby Mackley Hopkins, Hagerstown, and the late George Richard Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church, Lewistown. He had been employed for the past fie years as a hairdresser with Hair-Is-It, Monocacy Village Shopping Center, Frederick. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two aunts, Virginia Stockman of Libertytown, Barbara Mackley of Gettysburg, Pa.; several nieces and two nephews, Keith and Kevin Mackley. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, and Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Smith, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Friends may also call at the funeral home Tuesday 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug 20, from Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Harold C. Beck will officiate. Interment wil be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Those desiring may send memorial contributions to Hospice of Frederick County Inc., 1730 N.
