About | Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Eyler, 81, formerly of Walkersville, who resided at Country Meadows in Frederick passed away Thursday March 13, 2014 at Kline Hospice House surrounded by her family. Born August 26th 1932 in Walkersville, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Mary Trittapoe. She was a member of the Walkersville High School graduating class of 1950. In 1952, she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Fred Eyler and they would go on many adventures together for 54 years until Fred's passing in 2006. They resided in Walkersville for their entire marriage. Mary was an active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick for many years. Mary worked for the telephone company for 26 years retiring in 1986. Following retirement, she worked at the courthouse until her full retirement in 1992. In their retirement years, Fred and Mary enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and going on numerous vacations. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Mary was a loving and devoted Grandmother to her two grandchildren, Jason and Sara. Mary was also blessed to meet her great-granddaughter, Aubree who she adored. Mary is also remembered by her devoted former daughter-in-law, Linda Leard of Middletown. Mary is survived by a son Wayne Eyler of Frederick, MD, two grandchildren Jason Eyler of Frederick, MD and Sara Eyler of Hagerstown, MD, great-granddaughter Aubree of Hagerstown, MD, cousin Ann Freyz of Middletown, MD, and numerous friends, especially from Country Meadows. She will also be remembered by her very special friend Gloria LaBrush of Frederick, MD. Mary's memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 18th at 10:00am at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville with Jacqui Kreh as the Celebrant.
