| About | Michael Eaves Shoemaker, 55, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Frederick Health Hospital. Born on December 16, 1966, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Robert Shafer Shoemaker and Frances (Eaves) Shoemaker. He was a graduate of Walkersville High School in 1984. In his younger days he played baseball, was in 4-H and showed steers at the Great Frederick Fair. Mike was an equipment operator in construction for many years. He was an avid New York Yankee fan. He is survived by his parents, Fran and Bob; brother, Mark; children, Katie Shoemaker, Morgan Shoemaker (Orin Denn) Charlie Shoemaker (Brandi) and Spencer Shoemaker; and several grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue in Walkersville. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022, from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Glade Cemetery.
