| About | Norma Jeanne (Kroh) Chipley, 79, of Gettysburg, PA passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023 at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital. Born on April 10, 1944 in Brookville, PA to the late Norman Ralph Kroh and Betty Juanita Burns. She was a graduate of Walkersville High School and graduated with her B.S from Towson University. She was a member of the Woodsboro Lutheran Church, Mt. Zion UMC, and Glade Valley COB, where she also worked as a secretary for many years. She was an educator at FCPS for thirty years, where she retired in 1996. She continued as a writing center assistant and church secretary. She and her dear friend later started a craft business, JenEva Accents, selling lighted angels and earrings across the East Coast. Mrs. Chipley was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery B. Chipley. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Shirley) Kroh, son, Gregory (Stephanie) Chipley. Her grandchildren, Chelsea (Bryan) Chipley, Casea Chipley, Corey (Erica) Chipley, and Haley Chipley. Great-grandchild Stevie Bowser, along with many friends and family she loved dearly. A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E Main Street, Thurmont, MD 21788. Chaplain Dahl Denning will be officiating.
