| About | Patricia I. Whitmore, 80, of Woodsboro, MD died Saturday, September 19, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Wimp' Whitmore, who preceded her in death May 15, 2002 after 35 years of marriage. Born December 30, 1934 in Woodsboro, MD she was the youngest of 12 children to William H. Filler and Rita Pittinger Filler. Patricia was a graduate of WHS, class of 1953. She was a member of Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Woodsboro American Legion Auxiliary, #282. Patricia worked at AirPax for 40 years. She is survived by one brother-in-law Richard Warner; three sister-in-laws Mary L. Filler, Jeanette Whitmore and Carmen Martin and husband Elmer; two God-sons Joey Morningstar and Herb Eyler; one God-daughter Danielle Bowers and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by special friends JoEllen and Ron Hart and Betty Eyler. She is preceded in death by her three brothers Henry, Robert and Kenny Filler and her eight sisters Evelyn Cotterill, Dorothy Whitmore, Pauline Filler, Elizabeth Filler, Alma Wilhide, Helen Rodgers, Shirley Warner and Mary Ellen Eyler. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. There will be a funeral service Thursday, September 24 at 10AM at the Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 N. Main St., Woodsboro, MD. Pastor Kathryn Rohrbach will officiate. Interment will follow at Glade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church at the said above address.
