| About | Ronald Eugene Martin, age 66, of Woodsboro died suddenly Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Frederick Health Hospital. Born September 22, 1959, in Frederick, he was the son of Lee Martin and Mary Louise Burkett Martin. He was the loving husband of Ellena Virgina Martin, his wife of 44 years. He was a graduate of Walkersville High School, class of 1977. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and truck driver. He dedicated his life to farming, trucking, but most of all being a father, grandfather, son and friend. He will be missed by everyone. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Crystal Morshed and Kasem, Ronnie Lee Martin, Sharon Martin, cousins Mike Drury and Valerie, John Wayne Stone and Angie, a sister Mary Jane Gaver, and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a brother Vernon Lee Martin. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 11-2 and 6-8 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, with the funeral home being open for visitors from 11am-8pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 12 noon at Rocky Hill Cemetery, 10825 Coppermine Rd., Woodsboro, with Pastor Linda Lambert officiating.
