About Tenis Farrell Lowe, 90, died peacefully in his sleep May 18, 2002 at the Arbors of Marietta. He was born January 15, 1912 in Logan Co. WV. the son of the late Don H. and Madge Wimer Lowe. He graduated from the Walkersville High School in 1930. Tenis was a farmer and sawmill employee in West Virginia, a construction worker in Virginia, an employee of Monarch Aluminum Co. in Cleveland, OH., a farmer in Missouri and retired from the N&W Restaurant in Moberly, Missouri. In his last years he resided at the Hillview Terrace in Vienna. His interesting life included some time “riding the rails” in the 1930’s when employment was almost non-existent. His autobiography detailed his experiences. Tenis was a student of the Bible and wrote a paper on his interpretation. He was a lifelong Methodist, an avid reader, a prolific writer and was a devotee of sacred music. He is survived by his sister, Mildred M. Marshall, one niece, Linda D. Lowe, Four Nephews, Don C. Lowe, David E. Marshall, Robert W. Marshall and Timothy A. Marshall and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Don B. Lowe. There will be no visitation and a Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg is handling the arrangements.
