About William Lynn Moberly, 79, died on March 20, 2018 in the same house where he was born, in Walkersville, MD. He was the husband to Suzanne (LeGore) Moberly. Lynn was the seventh child born to C. Robert and Grace W. Moberly.

Lynn graduated as president of his Walkersville High School Class of 1957. He then served four years in the Air Force as a Military Policeman in New Mexico and Okinawa.

Returning home from military service, he graduated from the MD State Police Academy and was a proud MD State Trooper for 22 years. Three days after retiring, he went to work for 12 years at the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office and then spent 3.5 years as the Administrative Assistant at the Frederick County Detention Center. He retired from the county in July 1998.

Mr. Moberly married Suzanne LeGore in 1987, and they were together for 30 years. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Maureen McCarthy. Lynn is survived by 3 children: Christine, John (Jennifer) and Michelle. He also has six grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Additionally, he is survived by a sister, Peggy Blank of Chesapeake, VA, three step-children, six step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and faithful friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by brothers: Robert, Ross, Richard and Jack as well as a sister, Evelyn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 24 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville. A funeral service will immediately follow visiting hours in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.
