MacNally Jr., 68, a plumbing and heating company owner and deputy shellfish constable in Bourne, died yesterday at his home after a brief illness. He was born in the same Buzzards Bay house in which his mother was born. Mr. MacNally was one of 35 graduates of Bourne High School's class of 1948. He joined the Navy in 1951 (FP2 US NAVY KOREA) and after an honorable discharge came home to continue the family's plumbing and heating business, A.B. MacNally Son. As a young man, Mr. MacNally rose to the rank of captain as a call firefighter in the Bourne fire department. He was Bourne's deputy shellfish constable, a post he volunteered for over the past eight years. Mr. MacNally was an active member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars P ost in Bourne, the Monument Beach Sportsmans Club and the Weary Travelers Club in Monument Beach. He enjoyed the company of his grandchildren, shellfishing, snowmobiling and whitewater rafting. Visiting hours were 7 to 9 p.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne.
