| About | SouthCoastToday FORK UNION, Va. -- Funeral services were held in Fork Union for Cecil Laureston Ross, 68, formerly of Buzzards Bay, who died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 21, 1995. He was the husband of Gladys Jones Ross and son of the late Cecil M. and Thelma Lauretta (Bradford) Ross. He was born in Buzzards Bay and moved to Fork Union in 1952 and was a member of the Fork Union Baptist Church. He played football at Bourne High School and was a 1946 graduate. After graduating from high school he served in the United States army. He attended college at Davis and Elkins in Virginia. He retired two years ago from Fork Union Military Academy as a lieutenant colonel after serving 41 years. |
