BOURNE - Dorothy Newlin (Jackson) Bilodeau, 74 of Bourne died Saturday at the Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bourne. Mrs. Bilodeau was a native Cape Codder, born in Barnstable. She attended Bourne schools and was a 1944 graduate of Bourne High School. She graduated from the Newton-Wellesley Nursing School in 1948, where she received the Mary M. Riddle Scholar Award. She entered the Army Nursing Cadet Corps upon graduation, and her name appears on the Women’s War Memorial in Washington, D.C. Over the years, Mrs. Bilodeau worked at Cape Cod Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay, the Barnstable County Hospital in Pocasset, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She enjoyed animals and traveling and loved to spend time with family friends. She was a member of the Bourne United Methodist Church.
