| About | Douglas Allen Hart, 48 Mar. 6, 2005 Civil Engineer for Guard; Bourne High Graduate SANDWICH Douglas Allen Hart died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Mr. Hart grew up in Bourne and graduated from Bourne High School in 1974. During his youth, he was the head lifeguard for the town of Sandwich. He was a graduate of Cape Cod Community College, Dean College, the University of Massachusetts, Temple University and Western New England College. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the 102nd National Guard Unit at Otis Air Base for more than 20 years. He enjoyed swimming, collecting stamps, computers, scuba diving and had a love for cats, his favorite being one called Sandy. He was the son of the late Lawrence Hart. funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich. Burial was in the Sandwich Town Cemetery. |
