About | Apr. 27, 2000 Cape Cod Times Esther Wallace Moore, 62 Home Health Aide, Priest, Former Bourne Resident KETCHIKAN, Alaska - Esther Theolyn (Wallace) Moore, 62, a former resident of Bourne, died January 24 in Alaska after a long illness. She was the wife of Earl S. "Bud" Moore Jr. Born in Livermore Falls, Maine, Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Bourne High School. She trained and worked locally as a dental technician, emergency medical technician and certified health aide. In 1981 she and her husband moved to Ketchikan where she worked as a community home health aide as well as providing child protective services. Mrs. Moore was one of the first women from Alaska ordained as a priest in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a past matron of the Aurora Chapter No. 3, Order of Eastern Star of Ketchikan. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Youth Chapel on the RLDS Campgrounds, Zarahemla Boulevard, Onset, MA. |
