About | Falmouth Enterprise, Tuesday, January 03, 1961, Page 6 Obituaries Mrs. Fannie Flvira (Perry) Bolles died Saturdav morning in her 82nd year at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer F. Perry at Burtonwood, Monument Beach. Mrs. Bolles was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Rolza M. Perry and was born at Monument Beach when that village was a part of the town of Sandwich. She attended the schools in Bourne and was graduated from East Greenwich Academy after which she taught school for several years. In 1899 she was married to Edgar Stanley Bolles of Mattapoissett. They lived in Mattapoissett for about ten years. He built the lovely home on Chester Avenue in Monument Beach in 1910 where they lived until his death in 1946. Mrs. Bolles was manager dietitian of Bourne High School cafeteria from the mid 20s to the mid 40s. She was the oldest living member of the Bourne Methodist Church in which she had been a very active member. She had served as president of the Ladies Aid and.treasurer of that group and of the Women's Society of Christian Service, and also was a member of the Old Colony Union Women's club and the Aptucxet Garden Club. She leaves two children, Dorothy Judith Bolles Perry and Edgar Stanley Bolles Jr.; two granddaughters, Ethel Judith Bolles and Karen Bolles; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Perry Lindberg of Monument Beach and Mrs. Florence Perry Smith of Wareham, and a brother William E. C. Perry, also of Monument Beach. Funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon at 2 pm by Rev. Orville E. Crain at the Nickerson Funeral Home. Interment was at Monument Beach Cemetery. |
