Born December 8, 1927, he passed away the day before his birthday. He was the son of the late Anastasia and Christ Christopulos, who owned the Buzzards Bay Hotel which Mr. Christopulos and his six brothers and sisters helped their parents operate for many years. A 1946 graduate of Bourne High School, he entered the United States Army just after the end of World War II and served in the U.S. occupation in Japan. After his service ended, he returned to Buzzards Bay where he opened and ran a hardware store on Main Street and also attended night classes at Boston University. He was very pleased and proud to be in a position of helping Cape Cod veterans and their families with their veterans' benefits. Mr. Christopulos loved the ocean, was an avid swimmer, and appreciated the opportunity to swim year-round at the YMCA where he was a member. He was also a member of the VFW Post in Hyannis. He was proud of his Greek heritage and traveled to Greece to explore his family roots. He enjoyed music and theater and was an enthusiastic dancer. His wife would like to thank the staff at the Mashpee Care and Rehabilitation Center for their kind and excellent care and support.
