She graduated from the Bourne High School and then took a course in Domestic Science at the Framingham Normal School, from which she graduated. As a pupil dietitian she spent some time in a hospital in Plainfield, N. J. and in a Boston Hospital. A little over a year ago she married Jesse S. Gibbs, Battalion Sergeant Major of the U. S. Guards of the U. S. Army stationed at Jersey City. For some time Mrs. Gibbs had been housekeeper and dietitian at the private hospital in Brooklyn where she died. Her death was a great shock to her older brother, Leon Jacobs, 3d Class Quartermaster on U. S. S. DeKalb. who happened to arrive in New York the day of her death. The younger brother, Cyril Jacobs, is employed in Boston. Her mother, Mrs. Irving F. Gibbs, and stepfather. Capt. Gibbs, are residents of this village. |
