About | October 22, 2010 James Michael Hill, 51, of Sarasota, Florida, who leaves family in Barnstable, died unexpectedly at home on October 7. He graduated from Bourne High School in 1977. Mr. Hill was born April 18, 1959, in Stoughton, the son of Jack and Barbara Hill, and raised in Bourne. After high school, he worked in the family masonry business and later the Plymouth power plant. He was known as Jimmy. Following the construction field, he traveled around the country and settled in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then returned to New England and attended Curry College in Milton, receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1996. He then moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he started his nursing career. He was predeceased by his sister, Jane Hill of Sagamore. His favorite things were his Harley, and his two dogs. He was a container gardener as well as an excellent cook. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, and followed the Bruins each and every game. Cape Cod was his favorite home. There was a gathering at the Eagle Club on Cohasset Avenue, Buzzards Bay, followed by the distribution of ashes at the Cape Cod Canal. |
