| About | Cape Cod Times March 10, 2016 HYANNIS - James S. Spooner, 67, of Hyannis passed away at home on March 6, 2016, after a brief illness. Born in Pocasset on June 2, 1948 to the late Ellen B. Spooner and H. Sprague Spooner, Jim grew up on the Cape and graduated from Bourne High School in 1966. He trained to be an electrician and joined the U.S. Navy in 1968, where he served four years aboard a minesweeper. Upon discharge, he returned to the Cape and began what was to be a long career in the electrical field. He was an avid fisherman most of his life and also spent many happy hours on the golf course. He was interred in a private ceremony at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with a celebration of his life at a later date. |
