| About | September 25, 2016 Joanne Marie LaFratta BOURNE - Joanne Marie LaFratta of Monument Beach and Long Beach, CA, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2016. Born October 23, 1956, predeceased by her parents James and Georgianna R. (Fleury) LaFratta. She was a graduate of Bourne High School in 1975 and during the 1980 Olympics, Joanne was security Lt. in charge of Hockey and Speed skating practices and competition. She worked for Northrup Corporation for 12 years in Thousand Oaks California as travel coordinator. She also worked security for Cerritos Performing Arts in LA County for 11 years. Joanne enjoyed biking, fundraising events, tennis, sailing and gardening. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 27th at 11 AM at the South Monument Cemetery, 415 County Road, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne's memory to the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation for VNA of Cape Cod, P.O. Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601. |
