Kevin H. Fielding, 72, passed away at home on Friday, August 5, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born in Boston, the son of Edmund K. and May N. (Spackman) Fielding.

Following his childhood on Cape Cod, he received a B.S. in Public Communications from Boston University.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1964 aboard the destroyer USS Witeck.

Kevin joined the CBS Television Network in New York as an editor of commercials and programming.

He served as senior editor of children's advertising for the National Association of Broadcasters. He wrote and edited TV commercials, was a major contributor to books and magazine articles, produced 15 educational films for high school distribution, and co-authored a business book.

Mr. Fielding returned to Cape Cod in the late 70s and held positions as a writer/photographer of Cape Cod based film magazines. He was also writer/editor for Fodor Publishing Company's guide to Cape Cod from 1981 to 1990.

After moving to central Mass in the mid-eighties, Mr. Fielding became an avid gardener and photographer. He specialized in growing heirloom tomatoes and was written up in several gardening magazines.

He thoroughly enjoyed his peaceful lifestyle in Princeton. His keen wit will be sorely missed.

A sister, Wanda Andersen, predeceased him.
