1934-2014

Shirley Louise (Robbins) Amaral Bazner, 80, of East Falmouth passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 18 at the JML Care Center after a long illness.

Born and raised in Buzzards Bay, she moved to North Falmouth in the early 1950’s.

In 1967 she moved to Hatchville where she resided for the last 46 years.

Shirley’s passion was for her family, whom she loved dearly. She had nine children, all of whom were her favorite.

Shirley possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a warm and charismatic personality. Above all else, she will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, and for all the love she showered on everyone she met.

Prior to her retirement, Shirley spent many years with the Falmouth Housing Authority, Falmouth Elks, was a town meeting member, and spent many long hours counting election ballots as a precinct warden.

She had a special talent for baking, was an avid candlepin bowler, loved to read and made countless afghans for her children and grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her late husband Kenneth "Ken" E. Bazner, parents John and Bessie Robbins of Buzzard Bay, and her sister Jeanne Jason.

Visiting hours were from 4-7pm, Friday, November 21st at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth Center.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, November 22nd at St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main St. Falmouth.

Burial followed at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
