Theodore Perry Lindberg, Sr. 87 was a commercial fisherman, boat builder, WWII Navy veteran and a lifelong resident of Monument Beach. He died Tuesday at home.

He was the husband of Marion D. (Harris) Lindberg for 63 years.

Mr. Lindberg was born in Brockton, and lived in Monument Beach all his life.

He graduated from Bourne High School.

During World War II he served in the Navy as a Carpenter's Mate First Class.

Before and after World War II, Mr. Lindberg worked as a boat builder and carpenter. He was also a commercial fisherman.

Mr. Lindberg was one of the collaborators on a book about the history of Monument Beach.

He was a founding member and the first president of the Monument Beach Sportsman Club, as well as a life member of the National Rifle Association.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed making decoy ducks and doll houses.

Visiting hours were held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. (Rte. 28), Bourne, followed by a funeral service.

Burial is in South Monument Beach Cemetery, County Road, Monument Beach.
