William "Bill" V.. Barber, III, 56, of Manchester, NH, died August 10, 2008, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Norristown, Penn, on October 21, 1951, he was the son of William V. and Loretta (Forlini) Barber, Jr.. He resided in Manchester most of his life.

Mr. Barber graduated from Bourne High School, Bourne MA. He earned an associate degree form Newbury College and a bachelor of arts degree from New Hampshire College.

He worked as a senior service-sales consultant for Alltex Company, a division of G&K Services, for thirty years.

He was a member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

Mr. Barber also held membership with the NH Baseball Umpires Association, the National Baseball and Softball Umpires Association, the NH Softball Association, and served on the board of directors of the Softball Assistants and Trainers Association.

Services:
Calling hours were held at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.

The Trisagion service took place in the funeral home with the Rev. Andrew Mahalares, officiating.

The funeral was held in the Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.

Burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
