About | Obituary for William H. "Bill" Waterhouse William H. “Bill” Waterhouse Jr., 83, of Bonita Springs, FL died Saturday, February 21, 2015. Formerly of Wareham, MA he had been a winter resident of Bonita Springs since 2002 before moving there permanently in 2012. William was born July 9, 1931 in Great Barrington, MA the son of the late William H. and Winifred (Mackenzie) Waterhouse Sr. He was a graduate of Bourne High School in Bourne, MA, Class of 1950. Following high school, Mr. Waterhouse was a Firefighter for the Town of Bourne before serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. In 1956, Bill graduated from the Massachusetts Police Academy in Framingham, MA and spent his career as a State Police Officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In the summer of 1963, he was assigned to the late President John F. Kennedy, working closely with the Secret Service, United States Coast Guard and the Barnstable Police Department. He retired as a Corporal in 1981. Bill was also a member of Massachusetts National Guard from 1976 to 1991. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy M. Waterhouse. Burial with military honors was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. |
