About Obituary
Howard L. King, 71, of East Bridgewater, died on January 29, 2016 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston due to the complications he attained from a cardiac arrest.

Born in Brockton, on March 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Alfred and Marion (Keene) King. He graduated from Bristol Agricultural High School in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years. During his time in the Navy, he traveled around the world twice and eventually spent over 30 years working at the Foxboro Company of East Bridgewater and Foxboro Massachusetts as a maintenance mechanic. He spent his remaining years working at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. Howard's hobbies included gardening, wood working, and spending time with his family. He traveled around the world with his wife of 47 and half years. Of the many places they visited, Alaska was his favorite.

He was the late husband of Elizabeth A. (Reardon) King. He was the youngest of four children; Brother of late Lawrence King, and survived by his two sisters Constance Rouillard and Janice McLaughlin and several brother and sister-in-law’s. He also leaves behind a son, Thomas Howard King, and two daughters Kendra (King) Topham, and Sherry (Reardon) Mitchell. He has five granddaughters, Kaitlynn Topham, Elyse Topham, Emily Topham, Shannon Topham, and Aubree King. He also has one great grandson Elijah D'Agastino. Howard was survived by many nieces and nephews and best friend Jim Lewis of Hanson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his services on Wednesday February 3rd at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church , 518 Washington St, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or www.heart.org.
