About | Jeffrey William Baskowski Jeffrey William Baskowski, 54, passed June 11, 2009 at home in the love and care of his family after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Anne M. (Amour); children, Stella, Kristin and Nicholas Baskowski; his parents, Joseph and Mary (Valladoa) Baskowski of Grafton; three brothers, Joe and his wife Karen Shaw of Holliston, Stephen and his wife Carolyn of Gill (MA), Richard and his wife Janet of North Brookfield; three sisters, Gloria Paradiso and her companion Stephen Buscemi, Carol and her husband Craig Dauphinais both of Grafton, Ann Gurney and her husband Benjamin of Norwell; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born October 2, 1954 in Whitinsville and has lived most of his life in Grafton. Jeff was a graduate of Grafton High School and Worcester State College earning his BS in Nursing. He began his career caring for people as a registered nurse at Cambridge City Hospital and then at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Mr. Baskowski then worked in marketing and placement at Bournewood Hospital then to Golden Pond in Hopkinton before becoming Director at Robbie's Place in Marlborough until unable to continue due to his illness. He was an accomplished musician with a passion for jazz music playing the saxophone and piano most recently with the band "Danelectros". Jeff was a caring, generous person with a warm and gracious heart. His greatest joy was his love and devotion to his family, sharing his generosity and keen sense of humor with all. Funeral & Calling Hours All are invited to calling hours at The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton Sunday June 14th from 2 to 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday June 15th at 10:30 a.m in St. James Roman Catholic Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton. He will then be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. All attending Monday are respectfully requested to meet at St. James Church rather than the funeral home.
