| About | Andrea Z. (Gateriewictz) O'Toole, 68, of 292 Blackstone St. died Mon. Feb. 13, 2012 at home surrounded by her family, after battling lung cancer for a second time. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Lawrence M. O'Toole; children Austin O'Toole of Uxbridge, Andrea Auerbach of Wellesley, Lawrence O'Toole of Douglas, Peter O'Toole of Kennebunk, ME, and David O'Toole of Uxbridge; her mother Krystyna (Kaminski) Gateriewictz of Somerset; 9 grandchildren: Kathleen, Shannon, Owen, Andrew, Michael, Georgia, Sadie, Charlie, and Hayden; siblings Stasia McGowan of Stoughton, Barbara Wierzbicki of Providence, Katherine Vivieros of Swansea, and Andrew Gateriewictz of Tampa; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Fall River on March 4, 1943, she was daughter of the late Andrew Gateriewictz. Andrea lived in Uxbridge for 45 years. A graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1961, she earned her BA at Bradford Durfee Technical Institute and headed for New York City upon graduation where she lived until marrying her husband. Once her children were in school, Andrea worked in the Records Dept. at Landmark Hospital in Woonsocket for 30 years, retiring in 2008. |
