| About | Betsy George Latimer, 96, of Centerville, formerly North Dighton, MA passed away peacefully on June 28, 2020, at home surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Harrison and Helen (Sater) George of Somerset, MA. She was born April 28, 1924 in Fall River, MA. She grew up in Taunton and Somerset. She graduated from Somerset High School in 1941 and later received her Bachelors of Nursing degree in 1945 from Russell Sage College of Troy, NY. She worked at Truesdale Hospital in Fall River where she became an instructor in nursing. She was a member of the Cape Cod Seventh-day Adventist Church where she was a deaconess, greeter, social committee member, and potluck leader. She leaves behind her sister Nancy Rivard of Scituate, MA and was pre-deceased by her brother Harrison George of South Yarmouth, MA. She was married for 60 years to the late H.F. LeRoy Latimer, D.D.S. She is survived by her children Jill Rich and her husband Dan of Boxford, MA, Jeff Latimer and his wife Dania of Centerville, MA, and Holly Nosek and her husband Jon of Lancaster, MA; her grandchildren Ryan Rich and wife Andrea, Adam Rich and his wife Brandy, Ashley Rich, Megan Rich, Seth Latimer and husband David Greenhouse, Nathan Latimer, Caleb Latimer and his wife Nadia Moubayed-Latimer, Joel Nosek and Chad Nosek. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Olivia Rich, Solana Rich, Hannah Rich, Lily Rich, and Samuel Latimer. She has many nieces and nephews. |
