Norma G. Cooke graduated with the class of 1944. She attended the Colburn School for grades 1-8; 2 grades per classroom then attended Westwood High in what is now Thurston Jr. High School. She lived at 135 Nahatan Street right across from the current high school. She told me she remembers when Mr. Sarris came to the high school as a student teacher and when the football team played its games in the field at the corner of High Street and Summer street. I will miss her. |
